The gear of the shack.

Hey there!

I split this into hardware and software to at least somehow sort this. I will update this often as I use the tools I have and their names enter my brain lol

Hardware

My laptop is a GIGABYTE G5-GE, its a crappy gaming focused laptop, but it gets the job done and plays games at a more than servicable level. It does struggle heavily with video encoding of any kind.
My keyboard is a AJAZZ ak820 pro, with the switches replaced with the Akko Cream Yellows(of course lol) v3 Pro. I love the sound they produce with PBT keycaps and their price is incredibly low for the quality!
My mouse is a Logitech G502 hero, not much introduction needed, just a mouse with a nice scroll wheel and extra buttons I use often. Also I like my mice feeling solid and not like a plasic casing 20 grams in weight!
For audio I use some cheap IEM I found avalable, the model is Public Kingdom IEM110M. IEMs are the king of the price/quality ratio!
For portable gaming I use a Nintendo DS Lite with a flashcard, running Twilight Menu++! Nintendo bad and stuff, but the DS is awesome.

Software

I use VS Code to develop this website.
I use Notepad++ for most note taking and text tasks.
Firefox is the perfect balance of performance and usability in a web browser, for a half perfectionist like me.
For most image editing I use paint.net, unless it's something more than color correction, then Photoshop 2020. Adobe bad but photoshop is too good to pass.
For video editing I use After Effects 2024 and Sony Vegas 23 (with all the AI cut out, because fuck AI). I plan to replace sony vegas with kdenlive or davinci but, gotta learn linux first.
Blender for 3D work. Not even close to any competition being there.
To stylize the images for this website, outside of After Effects, I also use a open source app called Dither Guy!
I use Windows 11 because Steam support, but plan to add a linux distro to my workflow. So far, I am trying out Omarchy.
To access the internet and resources banned in Russia I use AmneziaVPN Premium and zapret. Fuck RosKomNadzor.
For game clipping I mostly use Steam Recordings, but screen recordings and higher quality game recordings are handled by OBS.
I use PowerToys to make Windows usable by adding diffrent tools like a search bar akin to krunner from KDE Plasma and a bunch of other handy stuff.
I use WizTree and Everything for any type of file searching.

Well this is every piece of hardware and software I can recall using off the top of my head! So that must mean something about me enjoying using them or something!
I will update this with links to everything when I feel like it. But for now...

You know how to use the internet, right?
